Shashidhar Nagarajappa, Sales Director at Winia Daewoo Electronics in the MENA region and President of Karnataka Sangha Dubai, has been a prominent figure in the FMCG sector in the Middle East for the past two decades. Originally from Bharamasagara Village in Chitradurga district, Karnataka, India, Mr. Nagarajappa pursued his MBA at Canara School of Business Management, Bangalore, and has been a resident of Dubai since 2002.

Before joining Winia Daewoo Electronics, Mr. Nagarajappa gained valuable experience at Al Ghandi Electronics in Dubai, starting as an Assistant Manager in 2004 and steadily advancing to his current position. His career journey includes roles such as Corporate Account Manager at Zenith Computers in Bangalore and Sales Executive at Cerebra Integrated Technologies in Bangalore.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Nagarajappa is actively involved in social work, particularly dedicated to the development of the Kannada Diaspora in the Middle East. As the President of Karnataka Sangha Dubai, he played a pivotal role in establishing "Kannada Patha Shala Dubai," a platform aimed at teaching the Kannada language to NRI children in the Gulf region. He holds key positions in various socio-cultural associations in the UAE and serves as the President of Kannada Mitraru, U.A.E, and the convener of Kannada Patha Shala, Dubai.

Mr. Nagarajappa's contributions extend to his roles as the convener of the Indian People Forum Karnataka Council, secretary of the International Kannadigas Federation, and joint secretary of the Karnataka NRI Forum, UAE. He is also a Founding Member of Overseas Movies Gulf. Noteworthy achievements include organizing the World Kannada Literature & Cultural Summit in Dubai in 2009, participating in Poet conventions across the Gulf, and acting and organizing a stage play titled 'Hai Bye Dubai.'

Acknowledging his significant social contributions, Mr. Nagarajappa has received several awards, including the Dr. Ra. Bendre Award by Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi, the Special Recognition Award by Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, and the Global Man of the Year Award by World Cultural Forum. His alma mater, DVS School Bharamasagara, honored him with the Native Achiever award, and in the professional realm, he was recognized as the Global Employee of the Year by Daewoo Electronics Middle East.

In his leisure time, Mr. Nagarajappa indulges in poetry writing and clay modeling. He is passionate about organizing debates and events.

Mr. Nagarajappa’s father, Nagarajappa Basetappa, was a government school teacher in Bharamasagara and his mother, Suvernamma Jyothi, is a homemaker. His family includes his wife, Mrs. Roopa Hampannavara Ganganna, a Post Graduate in computer application, who serves as a pro bono lead teacher at Kannada Patha Shala, Dubai, a free online school since 2014. The couple has two sons, Chetan S. Shettappalla and Daksha S. Shettappalla, who are students in Dubai.
